Paddypower – Sunderland v Stoke Keane

Monday, February 1, 2010

Sunderland 11/10 — Draw 23/10 — Stoke 5/2
After blasting Liverpool’s “massively disrespectful” behaviour in their pursuit of Kenwyne Jones, Steve Bruce could well accept 9 million of their massively disrespectful pounds, or a massively disappointing Dutch winger/striker/row z pepperer, in exchange for the striker. Bruce has already added Benjani to his squad and if the rumours of a move for Robbie Keane stand up, the Sunderland manager is likely to allow the unsettled Jones to leave.
Just three points off the relegation zone, Bruce will be looking for big improvements from his side in the second half of the season and a new striking line-up could give the kick-start they need. A host of old boys return with Stoke, can they take advantage of the defensive frailties which have stopped Sunderland from moving forward?
