It Wasn’t Kat-astrophic
Having already tasted defeat at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago in the early stages of the Twenty20 Champions League, New South Wales captain, Simon Katich had no choice but to send out a Gloria Gaynor-style message of defiance when it became apparent the sides would be meeting again in the final.
Although he didn’t really mean it because he’s Australian and hates losing, Katich actually said he was grateful for the beating as “it came at a good time and it didn’t cost us too badly and instead motivated us to make sure we went up a gear in the remaining games.” Both teams have been pretty impressive en route to the tournament decider, but have the NSW Blues improved enough to prove they’re now India-scendancy?
