Doncaster stage seven races on Town Moor on Wednesday afternoon on ground officially forecast as “Good”. The first race is due underway at 1:55.

Race 1 (Doncaster 1:55) – With Alan King’s yard in fine form at present there is every chance that the promising Ardlui will add to his recent success at Newbury despite having to give away weight all round. He looks a rock solid banker in this opening event.

Race 2 (Doncaster 2:25) – Although there is a question mark about Nigel Twiston-Davies’ horses at the moment, his The Cockney Mackem is still fancied to give a good account of himself. In case he too is “under the weather”, we also suggest including Master Fiddle.

Race 3 (Doncaster 3:00) – Oscar Nominee is going to be hard to beat here after running very well behind the smart Cinders And Ashes in Grade 2 company last time out. We make him our second banker on the card.

Race 4 (Doncaster 3:30) – Aurora’s Encore is back over fences for the first time in a number of outings and can prove his liking for the larger obstacles once again. Another with claims is Forza Origny, who has had time off since being badly hampered and pulled up at Newbury in the autumn.

Race 5
(Doncaster 4:05) – This 18-runner staying handicap hurdle is going to take some winning and we feel that three selections (at least) are needed. Devotion To Duty, Ely Brown, and Patsy Finnegan are our chosen trio.

Race 6 (Doncaster 4:40) – Rathcor and Eleazar look the pick in this hunter chase and are charged with the task of seeing us through to collecting a winning dividend.

Suggested Doncaster Placepot perm – 1×2×1×2×3×2 = 24 bets
