Project Management
- Assisting with the formation of business cases for operational projects.
- Be the key contact with PMO and the development teams to ensure projects are kept on track, making operations accountable at one end and technology at the other.
- Keeping track of interdependancies between operational projects.
- Running any operational user testing that may be required on new projects.
- Keeping operational heads informed of progress on their specific projects
- Responsible for working with the operational heads to scope out new projects, providing technology with the requirements capture to deliver.

Betfair Head of Operations Systems Position Overview:
This new position will be an important role for Customer Operations and will report into the Global Operations Director. The role will be instrumental in ensuring all of the operational systems projects have the correct business input from the customer facing teams and will be the key contact between operations and the PMO/Development teams. This role will also be responsible for monitoring the day to day stability of the operational systems, ensuring any degredation in performance is escalated to the correct area, and action plans implemented to rectify the performance back to acceptable levels to ensure operations can meet their targets.

Betfair Head of Operations Systems Performance/Delivery
- Track operational system performance, questioning whether operations is making best use of available technology to achieve its goals
- Preperation of tracking reports on system downtime and degredation of service
- Gain in depth understanding of the Betfair operations process, constantly reviewing where appropriate to improve performance.
- Working with operational heads to plan for peak events from systems standpoint
- Key contact point with TSD on issues

Strategic
- Working closely with Global Operations Director on operational strategy and providing input on system improvements that will assist long term scalability and productivity improvements
General
- Keep abreast of new technology advancements that may be worth exploring to improve Betfair Operations, providing recommendations where appropriate.
- Drive prioritisation of projects on behalf of Betfair Operations
There will be a requirement to do some travelling to other Betfair sites as part of this role on a business need basis.
Betfair Head of Operations Systems Person Specification
- Demonstrable commercial understanding of technical elements of operations systems (eg ACD and CRM systems), possibly gained within gaming or travel industries.
- In depth knowledge of trends and innovations within the operations systems environment.
- Exceptional multi-level relationship building skills
- Exceptional communications skills and an ability to facilitate/mediate between cross functional departments
- Detailed understanding of technical project management
