Hitwise award confirms company is UK’s biggest online operator
Betfair.com was the most visited online sports betting site in 2009, according to Hitwise.com, the world’s
leading global online intelligence service.

Paul Lewis, Head of Acquisition Marketing at Betfair, said: “We are delighted to have won this award
for the second time in a row, proving that we are now unquestionably the biggest online betting
company in the UK in what is a very competitive marketplace.

Betfair has been awarded a Hitwise Number 1 Award for the period July – December 2009, in which
the www.betfair.com site ranked number one based on market share of visits to all UK sports betting
websites.
The site received the same award for January – June 2009, making it the most visited betting site
throughout the year and cementing its position as the biggest online betting website in the UK.
